Pre-historic footprints on Formby Beach
Classified as a Site of Special Scientific Interest, Formby Beach is one of the UK’s most beautiful beaches and famous for its monumental dunes from which you can see the Cumbrian mountains and, on a clear day, Blackpool Tower. But that’s not all! This vast, beautiful UK beach is a hot spot for spectacular sunsets and red squirrels. Thousands of years of erosion have revealed 220 identified trails of prehistoric human and animal footprints here. Place yours there, forever to come!
