Minimum stay
Some B&Bs require a minimum stay of several nights. You can easily enter these restrictions yourself via the Owner Service. Go to ‘My Listing’ and click on ‘Restrictions’. We’ll guide you through the steps below.
- After opening the Restrictions section, go to the option where you can enter the minimum stay
- Choose the minimum number of nights a guest must stay at your B&B
- To save the restriction, you must always enter a start and end date. If the restriction applies to a specific period, such as the summer holidays, enter the exact dates. If you want the restriction to be permanent, you can select a period of several years. You must always enter an end date.
- Note: You need to add the restriction for each room. By setting this restriction, you save time because you will only need to process booking requests that you can accept. This also prevents disappointments for guests as they can clearly see when they can book with you.
Blocking arrival and departure days
Do you want to prevent guests from checking in or out on specific days? Set this up correctly through the restrictions. Just like when setting a minimum stay, go to ‘My Listing – Restrictions’. Follow the steps below to block the desired arrival and departure days:
- To block an arrival day, select ‘Arrival on … is not possible during the period …’.
- Enter the day of the week when guests cannot arrive and specify the period when this restriction is valid. The restriction cannot be saved without selecting a period.
- Want to block multiple arrival days per week? Enter the restriction for each day separately.
The same steps apply to blocking a departure day. Choose ‘Departure on … is not possible during the period …’ and follow the steps above. - Note: By blocking the arrival and departure days, a guest can still stay at your B&B. They just won’t be able to check in or out on those days. Keep this in mind. Also, enter this restriction separately for each room.
Tip
During certain periods, you may prefer to welcome guests for a weekend, midweek, or week stay. By being creative with restrictions, you can set this up on Bedandbreakfast.nl as well. Here’s an example of how to set the restrictions for a weekend.
Weekend
For weekends, guests arrive on Friday and depart on Sunday or Monday. By blocking Saturday as both the arrival and departure day, you ensure that guests book the entire weekend. If this is a restriction you only want to apply during the summer holidays, simply set the correct period. After saving the restriction, it will immediately be reflected in your calendar.
