Train Spot Guesthouse

Train Spot Guesthouse is a place for travelers. Housed in the old train station of Marvão/Beirã, it offers all visitors the fun experience of living in an industrial era station, the discovery of the Natural Park where it is located and the typical culture of the Raiano peoples of Alto Alentejo, on the border between Portugal and Spain. Accommodating a total of 24 people, the Train Spot Guesthouse offers different types of accommodation ranging from double rooms with private bathrooms, family rooms and apartments with a garden. Breakfast is served daily, which can be enjoyed in common areas such as the kitchen, living room, terrace and gardens, or even on the train line. Located in the quiet village of Beirã, Train Spot is just a few minutes from the medieval village of Marvão (the highest in Portugal), Castelo de Vide, the Roman ruins of AMMAIA, the natural pools of the River Sever, and many other magical places from Marvão. From music concerts, exhibitions by local artists to gastronomic meetings, Train Spot organizes and enjoys cultural events at the station throughout the year, open to the general public. For guests, it organizes, by arrangement, activity packages that can be: galloping through the Serra de São Mamede, cycling on the rails with RailBikes, walking along the old smugglers' trails, or simply eating an Alentejo snack.
