In Spain, if you own a place where tourists stay, you are required to keep a record of who stays there. It is a little-known regulation, but it must be followed, especially since the latest approval of Royal Decree 933/2021, dated October 26. This record must be shared with the authorities to ensure public safety. The traveller registration form must be completed with the details of guests over 14 years old and the person who made the reservation, even if the reservation can be cancelled. This requirement has been established by the Spanish authorities since December 2024. If the reservation is cancelled, the person responsible for the tourist accommodation must inform the ministry so that the data is immediately deleted. Please note that an additional charge of EUR 30 from 20:00 and of EUR 50 from 22:00 applies for late check-in. An additional charge of EUR 30 before 09:00 and of EUR 50 before 08:00 for early check-out.
