Located in the Vaucluse, from the top of its hill, our charming fortified village of Châteauneuf de Gadagne turns its back on Avignon to look out over Mont Ventoux, the Comtat Venaissin plain, and the Pays des Sorgues. It is Provençal first and foremost because of its location, its soil, and its AOC wines. But it is especially so because of its soul, as it is the cradle of the Félibrige, this 19th-century literary movement founded by Frédéric Mistral to "protect, maintain and exalt the language, culture, civilization, and identity of the lands of Oc".
