City tax alert: Future guests are warned that, in Olhão, Faro and Vila Nova de Cacela (Vila Real de Santo António), the respective municipalities charge a city tax. This fee IS NOT included in the amount paid to the platform for the stay. The Municipal Tourist Tax must be paid to the accommodation service provider (host), at the time of check-in, which in turn is obliged to deliver it to the respective municipalities. In Faro, the fee is 1.5 euros, payable by all guests aged 13 or over, per person and per night, up to a maximum limit of 7 days, even if the stay is longer. That is, per person the maximum value will be 10.50 euros, whether the stay is for 7 days or more. In Vila Real de Santo António the fee is 1 euro per person, over 10 years old and per stay, with a maximum limit of 7 nights. Minors aged between 11 and 13 pay only 0.50 euros, per person and per stay with a limit of 7 days. An adult will pay a maximum of 7 euros for a stay of 7 or more days and a child between 11 and 13 years old will pay a maximum of 3.5 euros. In Olhão the fee is 1 euro between November and April and 2 euros between May and October. The price is per person aged 16 or over, for a maximum of 5 consecutive days. In other words, between November and April the maximum rate, per person, will be 5 euros and between May and October, 10 euros.This property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties.
