About Encontro no Rio Encontro no Rio stands for encounter with nature, people, animals and yourself. In a unique location directly on the Mondego river, settled in almost untouched nature, it is a beautiful idyll. Our farm is secluded, but not lonely - it is like diving into another world, a peninsula embedded in a bend of the river. All apartments have matchless views over the river. In the spring and summer months, there is a huge expanse of water that invites you to swim and cool off. The rest of the time they let the river go down and we have a big meadow for our horses - many metres of river beach, beautiful for walks.
