Especially couples without children choose bed &amp; breakfast, statistics of Bedandbreakfast.eu, the world\u2019s largest B&amp;B website, show.<\/p>\n<p>In the first seven months of 2015, 39% more reservations than in the same period last year were made on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bedandbreakfast.eu\">www.bedandbreakfast.eu<\/a>. In the last six months, the number of rooms and apartments on the website increased with 18%. To learn more about B&amp;Bs and their guests, in 2014 Bedandbreakfast.eu held a market research among 3,704 B&amp;B owners, together with Stenden University. The main results:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The room rate of European B&amp;Bs amounts to an average \u20ac 76.46 including breakfast.<\/li>\n<li>The average annual turnover of European B&amp;Bs is \u20ac 16,700.<\/li>\n<li>On average, European B&amp;Bs have 5.2 guest rooms and 7.6 beds.<\/li>\n<li>40% of European B&amp;Bs started after 2011.<\/li>\n<li>Bed &amp; breakfasts are mostly visited by couples without children, for 41% of B&amp;Bs they form the main guest group.<\/li>\n<li>A quarter of the guests stay in a B&amp;B for business purposes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div id=\"attachment_4750\" style=\"width: 1418px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bedandbreakfast.eu\/survey_orderinfo?lang=es\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4750\" class=\"wp-image-4750 size-full\" title=\"Bed &amp; breakfast room prices\" src=\"https://blog.bedandbreakfast.eu/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/infographic_bedandbreakfasteu_web.png\" alt=\"infographic_bedandbreakfasteu_web\" width=\"1408\" height=\"625\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-4750\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The popularity of bed &amp; breakfast can partly be explained by the favourable value for money.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong>Popularity explained<br \/>\n<\/strong>The popularity of bed &amp; breakfast can partly be explained by the favourable value for money. \u201cB&amp;Bs are cheaper than hotels, but offer the same comfort.
