Maintaining and cleaning your accommodation is always very important. Hygiene is paramount. However, as a result of the corona crisis, it has become clear that a thorough cleaning protocol for B&B’s needs to be put in place. The virus spreads mainly through human contact, but it can also be transmitted via contaminated surfaces. This transmission is possible if you touch an infected surface and then touch your face without washing your hands.<\/p>\n

Limit personal contact<\/h4>\n

As well as paying extra attention to cleaning, it is also wise to limit face-to-face contact between you and your guests. For example, make sure you don’t have to be in the guest area during a stay and let guests check themselves in if possible. Also, plan plenty of space between two reservations, so you have time to follow your B&B cleaning protocol.<\/p>\n

Cleaning and disinfection<\/h4>\n

It is essential to include both cleaning and disinfecting surfaces in your cleaning protocol. Always wear disposable gloves. Cleaning is the removal of visible dirt and germs, and disinfection is the killing of bacteria and viruses with chemicals. So clean the room first, and then disinfect it to reduce the risk of contamination as much as possible.<\/p>\n

Peace of mind for your guests<\/h4>\n

Your guests will find it reassuring to know what measures you are taking to prevent the spread of Corona. You might want to state what you are doing in your B&B’s description. This makes guests feel safe. Also make sure that your guests have access to enough basic supplies, such as hand soap, hand gel, kitchen roll, disposable gloves and cleaning wipes.<\/p>\n
