Now you can start posting messages on your page, such as updates, photos and videos. Posting a message on your page is easy.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>In this article we will guide you through the basic functions of Facebook. Your message is now at the top of your timeline. This timeline is a sequence of messages from your page, in chronological order, displayed over 2 columns.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bedandbreakfast.eu\/blog\/innkeepers\/2013\/01\/16\/facebook-speed-course-part-2-posting-messages-and-photos\/fbeu3\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1356\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1356\" title=\"B&amp;B status update\" alt=\"Creating a Facebook page\" src=\"https://blog.bedandbreakfast.eu/innkeepers\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/FBEU3.jpg\" width=\"450\" height=\"151\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Posting photos on your timeline<br \/>\nSuch a simple status update is nice of course, but it becomes much nicer if you place a photo with it:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Right above the insert field, click \u2018Photo\/video\u2019 and choose \u2018Add Photo\/video\u2019.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"line-height: 24px;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bedandbreakfast.eu\/blog\/innkeepers\/2013\/01\/16\/facebook-speed-course-part-2-posting-messages-and-photos\/fbeu4\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1359\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1359\" title=\"B&amp;B upload photo on Facebook\" alt=\"Facebook bed &amp; breakfast\" src=\"https://blog.bedandbreakfast.eu/innkeepers\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/FBEU4.jpg\" width=\"540\" height=\"198\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>In your computer, go to your folder with photos and select a photo. Your photo with possible text now appears directly on your timeline.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bedandbreakfast.eu\/blog\/innkeepers\/2013\/01\/16\/facebook-speed-course-part-2-posting-messages-and-photos\/fbeu6\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1363\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1363\" title=\"B&amp;B Facebook update\" alt=\"Bed &amp; breakfast on facebook\" src=\"https://blog.bedandbreakfast.eu/innkeepers\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/FBEU6.jpg\" width=\"450\" height=\"460\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Photo album on Facebook<\/strong><br \/>\nThis way you can constantly post new messages, photos and videos. Do you have a sequence of photos, for example of your guest rooms? Then you can create a photo album. At step 1, you should then click \u2018Photo\/video\u2019 followed by \u2018Create photo album\u2019.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Adding links<\/strong><br \/>\nIt is equally simple to place links (URL) on your timeline, for example to your presentation page on Bedandbreakfast.eu or to your own website.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Copy the URL you would like to share and paste it into the insert field on your Facebook page. Wait a few seconds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"line-height: 24px;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bedandbreakfast.eu\/blog\/innkeepers\/2013\/01\/16\/facebook-speed-course-part-2-posting-messages-and-photos\/fbeu7\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1365\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1365\" title=\"B&amp;B status update\" alt=\"Bed and breakfast on Facebook\" src=\"https://blog.bedandbreakfast.eu/innkeepers\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/FBEU7.jpg\" width=\"450\" height=\"159\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Now, a short text with a photo or logo from the website will appear. The text can be adjusted by clicking on it. Maybe you placed the wrong link or made an obvious typo. Luckily, you can always remove messages from your page. With every message and every photo of video you add, when moving the mouse over it you can see two icons in the upper right corner.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bedandbreakfast.eu\/blog\/innkeepers\/2013\/01\/16\/facebook-speed-course-part-2-posting-messages-and-photos\/fbeu10\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1371\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1371\" title=\"B&amp;B Facebook page \" alt=\"Bed &amp; breakfast on Facebook\" src=\"https://blog.bedandbreakfast.eu/innkeepers\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/FBEU10.jpg\" width=\"450\" height=\"299\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Click on the pencil-icon and in the drop-down menu click \u2018Remove\u2019 or \u2018Remove photo\u2019.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bedandbreakfast.eu\/blog\/innkeepers\/2013\/01\/16\/facebook-speed-course-part-2-posting-messages-and-photos\/fbeu11\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1372\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1372\" title=\"B&amp;B status update on Facebook\" alt=\"Bed and breakfast Facebook page\" src=\"https://blog.bedandbreakfast.eu/innkeepers\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/FBEU11.jpg\" width=\"450\" height=\"299\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you now refresh your page by pushing the F5 button on your keyboard you will see that the message has been removed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>News overview<\/strong><br \/>\nWhen you place a new message, this message will immediately appear in the Facebook News overview of the people who like your page (your \u2018fans\u2019) But how do you make sure that this message stays on top for some time and that it is seen by as many people as possible?
