Annoying: a cancellation at the last moment…

Do you ever experience guests cancelling without a specific reason or at the very last minute? Bedandbreakfast.eu introduces an option whereby you can easily set cancellation conditions per room. These conditions are shown with the room conditions on your presentation page. 

Setting cancellation terms 

Step 1: In the owner service, go to ‘My listing’ and in the drop-down menu click ‘Rooms’. Click ‘Adjust’ at one of the rooms to change the conditions.

Step 2: Scroll down until you reach the ‘Cancellation’ header. Check the box of one of the following three options:

  1. Cancellation is always free of charge
  2. Cancellation is free up to [..] days before the arrival date
  3. Free cancellation is not possible

Note: When you choose option 2, if wanted you can set the percentage of the total amount you wish to charge when the guest doesn’t show. Example:

Step 3: At the bottom of the page, click ‘Save’.

Tip: do you prefer people not having the option for a free cancellation at all, but do you not want to charge them the full rate if they do cancel? Then choose option 2, put the marker on, for example, ’60 days’ and fill in a percentage of the total price as compensation.

Visibility for visitors
Your down payment conditions are shown in the room information section on your presentation page. Visitors see the conditions as soon as they click the ‘Please check the room conditions’ link.

  • Our cancellation policies are listed. Up to 14 days before arrival full deposit refunded. After 14 days, deposit not refunded. Usual deposit is one night. Extended stay requires 20% deposit.
