Getting around Paris
Getting from one place to another in Paris couldn't be easier, as the public transport network is excellent. Between the metro, buses, trams and flyboats, there's an embarrassment of riches. If you choose to cycle, you'll need to be very brave, as the cycle paths are often invaded by unwelcome vehicles. Walking is still the most pleasant way to explore: Paris is a reasonable size, and many sights are very close together. Taxis and VTCs (chauffered vehicles) are plentiful. They know the city well and will get you to your B&B quickly at any time of day or night, except in the event of a traffic jam, of course!
