Bed and Breakfast Al Faro in Ascona is a small-scale hotel with 10 rooms.
Al Faro offers a restaurant with a terrace on Ascona’s lake promenade. Breakfast is buffet style and pizzas are baked in a wood oven. Most rooms have a view of Lake Maggiore. The ferry terminal is just 30 metres from the building.
Free internet access is available in all rooms. Each has a bathroom with shower and hairdryer, and most have a balcony. Rooms are on the first or second floor and the hotel does not have an elevator.
Fresh fish and seafood feature strongly on the restaurant’s menu. Pasta dishes and pizzas are prepared with seasonal products, and the drinks menu includes international wines.
