Sunnybank is an award winning guesthouse ideally located only a short walk from Holmfirth centre but still within easy access to the countryside and Peak District National Park.
Built in the 1860's as a gentleman's residence, Sunnybank sits in an acre of gardens with superb views across the glorious Holme Valley - the real star of the BBC’s ‘Last of the Summer Wine’. (The church next door is where the actor Bill Owen, 'Compo' is laid to rest).
Each room has been individually designed and offers the full range of modern facilities that you would expect from a top quality guest house with so many accolades, even down to our very own Holmfirth Wool Fat Soap!
We now offer pre-booked dinners in our wonderful dinning room. It also makes a fabulous venue for private dinner parties, if booked by six friends bringing their own wine.
